We're going to Young Voices - February 2027! Fantastic news! Be the first to reserve your place! From September, our Key Stage 2 Young Voices Choir will be preparing for the amazing event that is Young Voices. We will perform at the O2 Arena, London in the biggest children's choir in the world with a live orchestra and parents watching.  Places are limited, so please commit to the Key Stage 2 Choir next year on Mondays, 3:30pm - 4:30pm.    Contact the school office from Monday to sign up and join the choir. 

Year 6 have been visiting Clifton Gardens and meeting the residents this year. Victoria Chan, the project organiser has said: 'I just wanted to say how sweet and thoughtful your children have been throughout the project. Of course, whenever they played games together, they became excited and full of energy, which was lovely to see! At the same time, they were always well behaved and respectful'.  We're very proud of you, Year 6!

HOT WEATHER FAQs :HOT WEATHER: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Can my child wear their PE kit every day during the hot weather? Yes. During this period of hot weather, children may attend school wearing their PE Kit, summer dress or a combination of polo shirts and skirts / shorts. Does my child need to wear a jumper or cardigan? No.  Children should not wear jumpers, cardigans, hoodies or additional layers unless weather conditions change significantly. Should I apply sun cream before school? Yes.  We recommend that a first application of sun cream is applied at home before your child arrives at school.  Children can bring sun cream to school and will be apply to reapply it before going outside. What type of sun hat should my child bring? Any comfortable, wide-brimmed hat that provides shade for the face, neck and head is suitable.  Please ensure that it is clearly named. Does my child need a water bottle? Yes/  Every child should bring a clearly named water bottle to school each day.  Children will be encouraged to drink water regularly throughout the day. Will children still go outside at break and lunchtime? Yes.  Cool-down zones and sheltered areas have been identified and will be available for children to use every day.  Staff will monitor children closely.  Staff will monitor children closely to ensure they remain safe and comfortable. What happens if classrooms become too hot? There is a 'cool school' protocol in place to help teachers manage classroom temperatures.  Internal temperatures are monitored throughout the day.  If necessary, classes may be relocated to cooler parts of the building. Will school close because of the hot weather? No.  School will remain open unless directed otherwise by the Local Authority or Department for Education. Could school hours change if the hot weather continues? Yes.  If exceptionally high temperatures persist over an extended period, we may consider temporarily adjustment the timings of the school day.  Parents and carers would be given as much notice as possible, and arrangements would be implemented to support families who require childcare during any adjusted hours. How will I know if there are any changes? Any updates will be communicated promptly through our usual communication channels.  Please help us by ensuring that the school has your current contact details.

After some VERY wet weather, Year 6 and Mr Hannah had a glorious, sunny evening paddle-boarding on the lake.

Year 5 were busy working as scientists this afternoon, carefully dissecting flowers and creating a beautiful display of the plant's reproductive parts.

Year 5 presented some incredible Home Learning projects on various topics we studied this half-term. Some of them included 'Ancient Greece, symmetry and various life cycles. There was a wide range of projects for us to enjoy!

Abundance London Art Project The Gingko Art Project is taking place in Chiswick tomorrow at Gingko Corner (Old Market Place) between 11am - 1pm and Chiswick Cinema between 2-4pm. They are looking for lots of children to help out and create something wonderful!
