  • Year 5 presented some incredible Home Learning projects on various topics we studied this half-term. Some of them included 'Ancient Greece, symmetry and various life cycles. There was a wide range of projects for us to enjoy!








  • Abundance London Art Project The Gingko Art Project is taking place in Chiswick tomorrow at Gingko Corner (Old Market Place) between 11am - 1pm and Chiswick Cinema between 2-4pm. They are looking for lots of children to help out and create something wonderful!
  • An excellent visit again today, to Clifton Gardens Residential Home for our Y6 class. 




  • As it is Shakespeare Week, we are delighted to share some of the work Year 5 explored during the autumn term. Children engaged with Shakespeare's Macbeth, creating written pieces such as retellings and character descriptions inspired by the play. We have also included photographs from our drama sessions, where we brought scenes to life through performance.









  • The robins have been busy nest-building and now the chicks have hatched
  • BREAKFAST HOMEWORK CLUB:

    Please see the attached flyer for information on the launch of our exciting new Breakfast Homework Club.  We hope that you find this a really useful addition to our school offer.

    Due to Parent Teacher consultations taking place on Monday and Tuesday, The Homework Breakfast Club will begin on Wednesday 11th March.

     


  • Headteacher Newsletter and Updates for Spring 2:

    We have made a wonderfully positive start to the second half of the Spring Term.  I hope you enjoy the newsletter attached.


  • On Tuesday, some Y3/4 children visited St Peter’s C of E School as part of AIM High Maths led by Andrew Jeffery. They enjoyed playing different Maths games, puzzles and magic tricks with children from other schools. They had a fantastic day and were eager to share what they learned with their friends back at school!




  • Royal College of Music Funded Musical Opportunity:

    Dear Families,

     

    The Royal College of Music are offering some fully funded music making opportunities for children and families.  All the information needed is in the flyer attached; please do have a look and apply if this is of interest.


  • We had a very impressive win in our football match against a neighbouring school this afternoon. It also marked the first outing in our new sports kits which were very generously funded by the wonderful Friends of the William Hogarth School!

Thursday 4 June – KS2 Shakespeare trip - Richmond Art College. Payment required on Parent Pay.

Saturday 6 Jun – PTA Gardening Morning – Families are invited to come along and help out with the gardening from 10am – 12pm.

Monday 8 Jun – SEND parent coffee morning at 9am.

Friday 12 Jun – Y1 cake sale 3.30 – 4pm.

Monday 15 Jun – Y1 trip to Kew Gardens. More info to follow.

Friday 19 Jun – Sports Day - All day event for Y1 – Y6. Start at 10am at Chiswick School. 12pm walk back to WHS for a lunch break. 1.30pm rotation activities at WHS. Parents sporting activity in the afternoon. More info to follow.

Thursday 25 June – Mufti Day - Summer Fair Donations. Children are invited to wear their own clothes to school and bring in donations for the summer fair.

Friday 26 June - Dance Ghost Troupe Inter-School Dance Competition – Event held at Strand on the Green Infant & Nursery School 1.30pm – 3pm. Parents are invited to attend. More info to follow.
